Sarah Allsbrooks | Director of Development

Sarah Allsbrooks is a dedicated and passionate nonprofit professional who specializes in relationship building, fundraising, and project management for organizations so they can create meaningful impact and raise revenue. Sarah started her career in electoral organizing while studying Political Science at Grand Valley State University in her home state of Michigan. She has worked on a multitude of campaigns from the municipal level up to the congressional level in both Oregon and Michigan. In 2012, she managed the largest municipal race in the country with an openly gay candidate, raising over $500,000 in just six months.

In between running campaigns, Sarah has helped develop and execute innovative programming for state governments and nonprofit organizations and also has expertise in public policy and advocacy. During her tenure at United Way, she helped transform the Summer Food Service Program in Southeastern Michigan by increasing the number of sites providing food, improving the quality of the food, and supporting providers. Additionally, she has worked across the educational landscape with parents, students, administrators, and teachers in a variety of programs. She’s helped mobilize more than $50M in a variety of development roles and has helped health care payers and providers devise strategies to lower costs, provide better care, and improve health outcomes. She brings all of these skills to Seeding Justice. Known for her ability to build strong and authentic relationships, Sarah is well versed in human centered design, anti-racism, and leads with her commitment to equity. 

Sarah enjoys cooking and dancing with her wife and taking their dog, Kaya, on adventures across the country.
