communities and our environment under increasing attack, many donors are looking for ways to ensure that their resources get to mission-aligned organizations quickly.<\/p><p>At Seeding Justice, we\u2019ve tapped on the expertise of our community-led steering committees and our deep relationships with organizations to create <b>Donor-in-Movement Funds (DMF), a novel program where donors AND community benefit.<\/b><\/p><p>Donor-Advised Funds, a common philanthropic vehicle for the wealthy, were originally intended to be a mutually beneficial solution for donors to receive tax breaks and nonprofits to get funding. But, because there is no legal requirement to ensure those dollars get to nonprofits, the funds often simply sit and grow.\u00a0<\/p><p>As a sensible alternative created to advance social justice movements, <b>Donor-in-Movement Funds funnel resources into community swiftly and wisely.<\/b><\/p><p>Donor-in-Movement Fund holders know that Seeding Justice, with a 50-year history in community, is uniquely suited to connect donors with movements whose work moves the needle toward a more just, democratic, and equitable They're not about about building a long-term fund balance. They're about moving money to social justice organizations wisely and swiftly. They're about making an impact now.<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0788d03 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0788d03\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Each year, <strong>50% of a DMF<\/strong>\u00a0is allocated to our community-led steering committees. Their expertise and knowledge of the social justice landscape ensures the funds will reach the groups and projects working to make the most significant impact.<\/p><p>Another <strong>40% of the funds<\/strong>\u00a0in a DMF is distributed to organizations the donor chooses from our Donor-in-Movement portal, where DMF holders can easily select grantees from a curated list of organizations doing the work.\u00a0<\/p><p>And <strong>10% goes to Seeding Justice<\/strong> to provide operational support and keep us on the forefront of transformation in the
