Our founders gathered on the banks of the McKenzie River in Eugene, Oregon in 1976. They had the idea that activists, philanthropists, and community should decide, together, how to use their wealth to best improve society.
That gathering grew into MRG Foundation. In 2021 we changed our name to Seeding Justice. The below Annual Reports document our history and growth.

What we do is for the lives of our neighbors—those closest to the pain of injustice—and for the freedom to imagine and build a future where justice, dignity and belonging aren’t privileges but rights. Since our founding in 1976, our work has always been community-led and community-driven.
